    Hello,
    I'm curious to see what other people's speeds are like and the price. I pay $80/mth CAD to Telus for thier Pure Fiber service which is supposed to get 150 up and down.

    Nice!!
    For that price, do you have a usage limit?
    * Many area's dont have access to Fiber Speeds yet.

    I have Bev's FibeTV Pkg.
    65Mb down / 25Mb up (guaranteed Bw) No Limit
    $109/mo. ($Cdn)
    It includes 77 Channels and a home PVR Receiver & Router.
    * 77 channels = 35 HD / 35 SD / 7 Radio
    of the 35, 10 are french. 5 are public info. 3 news. 5 tsn's, rest are misc crap.

    * It's 1 of my backups

      There's a limit of 1TB but I've never come close to even using 10%. I'm kind of old school and still watch regular TV channels which doesn't count towards my data usage.

      Speaking of TV, I have a moderate level of TV channels. Basically everything except international (hence why I have NFPS IPTV), some sports but no movies. Together with internet my monthly bill is $199 with tax. As far as the equipment goes, I have 1 PVR, one wireless box and a standard STB.

        Yah... I forgot to mention it is for 2 yrs. then goes up to 159.
        I kind of miss having IKS and a regular $50 internet package.

        The big Service Providers got us no matter what.
        Cut back on the TV Pkg.(because it's crap!), and they get you with internet package prices.

        * A couple of years back, there was a study done, and it informed the public of the price to the provider to transmit 1Gb. of data.
        It was $0.02. but you go over your limit by 1Gb, it is $5.00 ???

        My internet is more than my Hydro, and that keeps and cooks my food, lights my home and powers my stuff.
        120V/ 100A compared to 12vpk and milliamps.???

          It don't matter even if it was cheaper.There is no saving, they take from one and add to the other.Just like the government does.They have it down to a science.

        your right dodgeit they seem to take from one and stick it to you somewhere else I have so-called unlimited high speed of 2.54 mbps that they cap at 140Gb all this for approx 6$65 a month
        that's why i'm looking at iptv and getting rid of these money grabbers

          Man 2.54mbps and i bet at peek times it's not even that.But beware with iptv you can't be doing much on the internet with the speed while watching tv.
          The worst is when you live in the sticks and there is not much choice.
