I would uninstall the software which you installed, keep in mind when you do a factory reset, it installs the software and configures it back to factory settings. Go to Utube, do a search for Acer laptop reset to factory settings.

To reset, you can go to restore and restore it to the oldest restore point or a restore point that you know was good. If you want to reset it to factory settings, use the Windows disk that came with your Acer blue. Go into your bios and set your PC to boot to the DVD disk drive. Save and exit. It will then boot up from the dvd disk drive which has your disk in it. Follow the installation instructions so it will re-install your Windows system just like it was when you bought it.

If no fresh install of windows was done there would be a restore partition on the hard drive which will factory restore. On power up press F11 repeatably before windows start. This should take you to factory restore options.
